MIDDLE DISTANCE TRAINING |
|
| The
March plan is available to download on the Training Page. It seems
there may be a question over whether these coached sessions will continue
after Easter if numbers do not improve. If you have not tried them
yet, why not give them a go...it isn't too late to join in now. It
would be a shame to lose these sessions. |

EASTER FESTIVAL |
|
| The
popular Manx Harriers'
Easter Festival takes place in less than three weeks time. Entries
received after the 11th March, will incur a £5 per race surcharge. Are
there any MTC men interested in taking part in the 5km relay on Sunday
morning? We have entered at least one team the last couple of years. Please
see the forum if you are interested. |

TRAINING SESSIONS |
|
|
There are a couple of coached training sessions that are particularly good
for triathletes to take part in especially at this time of the year.
On Tuesday nights, Masters swimming at the NSC is a good place to meet many
other triathletes and receive some valuable coaching tips from Jack Coop.
The pool is divided into four lanes, two are used for swimmers wishing to
work on all four strokes and the other two are used for triathletes wanting
to work on their front crawl technique.
On Thursday nights, Chris Quine and Graham Davies (UKA Licensed coaches) run
a training session at the NSC track. The
programme is
available to download. The session usually includes a warm-up, some
stability and dynamic stretching exercises and then the scheduled training
session (which takes place on the track or on South Quay). The evening
ends with a warm down and stretch. The charge is only £1 plus £3.20 if
the session is to take place on the track.
